Continuing the saga of inheriting items from my dead grandma (RIP grandma) I have received a 20" Sony Trinitron CRT. The trinitron line is arguably the best CRT line out there, and CRTs are ideal for my classic 2D game systems (Genesis, SNES). Eventually I want to learn how to modify the circuitry to accept component signals if possible. I also got this cheap fake-wooden stand and a remote with the TV. Both were f^cking filthy and I spent the greater part of my afternoon cleaning both. I actually took apart the remote and washed the rubber membrane. Yea, it was that filthy.

Perhaps the most interesting part about this TV is the auto programming. All these years with the other TVs set to the same stations and my mind occupied with computers 90% of the time, I haven't bothered to search for random channels for ages. The result is three Chinese channels in addition to the many Spanish ones in my auto-channel-flipping.

I see what you did there.
She had a boom-box I grabbed (referenced here before you were a member) but no record player.
Edit: Fixed op spelling error.

Nice, I remember when i had my 21" trinitron, that thing was MASSIVE.  I sold that to Alex (Stephen knows who that is) and bought my flatscreen.
